Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of unloading cycle time on the efficiency of the Luffing crane on the vessel TK. Bina Samudera 38 at the Inner Port 1 of Tanjung Emas, to examine the relationship between unloading costs and unloading duration, and to assess the impact of berthing costs on the vessel’s berthing time. The research uses a quantitative approach with statistical analysis through ANOVA and Tukey's post-hoc test at a 5% significance level. The results show that the unloading cycle time significantly affects the efficiency of the Luffing crane. The cycle time on TK. Bina Samudera 38 is longer and more variable compared to TK. Putra Kapuas XII, indicating a lower efficiency level. This difference is influenced by idle time, sling binding methods, and the crane operator’s skills. Unloading costs are closely correlated with unloading duration; higher idle time leads to additional work shifts, thereby increasing operational costs. TK. Bina Samudera 38 incurred an additional cost of IDR 20,000,000 due to two shifts of idle time, raising the effective cost to IDR 103,810 per cubic meter. Berthing costs also have a significant impact, with TK. Bina Samudera 38 bearing berthing expenses of IDR 165,706 per day and potentially experiencing losses of IDR 6,904 for every hour of delay.
