Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of the Engine Room of the Ferry RO-RO Twin Screws vessel, with an emphasis on three main components: Availability, Performance, and Quality. The calculation results show that the vessel's average OEE is 81.14%, which falls into the “Needs Improvement” category, indicating that while the vessel operates well, there are still opportunities to enhance machine performance. Factor analysis reveals that Availability is the most influential factor on OEE, with an average value of 96.73% for the Main Engine Right, 96.87% for Auxiliary Engine II, and 97.47% for the Main Engine Left. The Performance and Quality components show lower averages, suggesting the need for further operational improvements. The Kendall’s Tau Correlation analysis confirms a strong relationship between Availability, Performance, and Quality, with the highest τ value of 2.33 between Availability and Quality, indicating that improving machine availability directly impacts the enhancement of Quality and Performance. The findings of this study provide significant insights for maintenance strategies and improving operational effectiveness of the vessel. Keywords: OEE, Availability, Performance, Quality dan Kendall Correlation
