Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime nation comprised of thousands of islands stretching from Sabang to Merauke, boasting a diverse range of natural, marine, and mining resources with significant potential for exploration and development for the nation's prosperity. Ports, in particular, serve as hubs for economic and governmental activities, providing export-import services. Issues in the performance of the export goods delivery process are often related to obstacles that arise during the export goods' stay at the port and the service process involving EMKL companies. This study aims to analyze factors influencing the smooth flow of export goods and the performance of EMKL companies. The population in this study was TPKS (Traffic Control and Customs Officers) and officers at the Port of Semarang, with a sample size of 80 respondents. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a census/total sampling method. The analytical methods employed were descriptive and quantitative analysis. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. The results of this study indicate that the variables Export Document Processing, Regulatory Compliance, and Shipping Time Efficiency partially influence the smooth flow of export goods. The results of the multiple regression analysis yielded the equation Y = 1.545 + 0.529.X1 + 0.308.X2 + 0.273.X3 + µ, where all studied variables showed a positive and significant influence on the smooth flow of export goods. The regression equation also revealed that the most dominant variable influencing the smooth flow of export goods was the Export Document Process, with a regression coefficient of 0.529. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.571) was 57.1%. The coefficient of determination was 57.1%, while the remaining 42.9% (100% -57.1% = 42.9%) was influenced by other variables outside the research or the regression equation. Conclusions based on the research results and data processing obtained from the questionnaire distribution regarding the variables showed a positive and significant influence using SPSS. Keywords: Export Document Process, Regulatory Compliance, Shipping Time Efficiency, Smooth Flow of Export Goods
