Abstract
Transportation plays a vital role in the mobility of people and goods, as well as in supporting economic development. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), as a state- owned provider of rail-based transportation services, operates the Ciremai Executive Train serving the Semarang–Bandung route. However, the number of passengers on the Ciremai Executive Train during the period of July–December 2024 showed fluctuations, with a total of 17,116 passengers, indicating the need to evaluate passenger interest. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 100 respondents who are passengers of the Ciremai Executive Train. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The results of the study are expected to contribute to PT Kereta Api Indonesia in developing service improvement and marketing strategies, as well as providing a reference for future research in the field of public transportation. The results of the study show the following multiple linear regression equation: Y = -0,781 + 0.316 X₁ + 0.359 X₂ + 0.158 X₃ + μ The t-test results indicate that all independent variables—service quality (X₁), price perception (X₂), and promotional strategy (X₃)—have a positive and significant effect on passengers' interest in using the Ciremai Executive Train, with significance values below 0.05. The adjusted coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) is 0.567, indicating that 56.7% of the variation in passenger interest can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 43,3% is influenced by other factors outside the model.
