Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of PT Rimo Transport Expressindo in container maintenance and care at the Port of Tanjung Emas, Semarang. The background of this study is the importance of container maintenance to ensure the smooth flow of goods in export-import activities. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation during onshore practice. The results indicate that PT Rimo Transport Expressindo plays a significant role in the overall inspection, repair, and maintenance of containers. Challenges faced include high maintenance costs, limited expertise, and the availability of spare parts. To address these issues, the company conducts preventative maintenance, provides technical training for employees, and utilizes a real-time monitoring system. In conclusion, container maintenance and care are crucial to support smooth delivery and cargo security, thus requiring optimal planning and implementation of regular maintenance.
