Abstract
Smooth ship departures are a crucial indicator of a shipping company's operational performance. PT. Dharma Lautan Utama, a national shipping company, continues to face challenges in the form of delayed ship departures, influenced by technical and operational factors. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the factors influencing smooth ship departures, specifically in terms of spare part procurement, spare part inventory, and ship maintenance. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing smooth ship departures. The population in this study were engineer drivers, crew members, technical staff, and logistics staff at PT. Dharma Lautan Utama, Tanjung Perak, Surabaya, with a sample size of 70 respondents. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with a census/total sampling method. The analytical methods used were descriptive and quantitative analysis. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software. The results show that the variables of spare part procurement, spare part inventory, and ship maintenance have a partial and simultaneous effect on smooth ship departures. The results of the multiple regression analysis obtained the equation Y = 1.201 + 0.391X1 + 0.126X2 + 0.539X3 + µ where all variables studied showed a positive and significant influence on the smoothness of ship departures. From the regression equation, it can also be seen that the most dominant variable influencing the smoothness of ship departures is the ship maintenance variable with a regression coefficient of 0.539. And the coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square = 0.567) is obtained, meaning 56.7%. The coefficient of determination value is 56.7%, while the remainder (100% - 56.7% = 43.3%) is influenced by other variables outside the research or the regression equation capital. Keywords: Spare Part Procurement, Spare Part Inventory, Ship Maintenance, Smooth Ship Departures
