Abstract
A traffic accident is an incident in which a motorized vehicle collides with another object and causes damage. Sometimes this accident can result in human injury or death. In the northern ring road of Surakarta, there are many roads that are damaged with levels of damage ranging from light to severe damage. The road damage is caused by several factors, including frequent use by heavy vehicles such as trucks, buses, and other heavy vehicles. This study aims to determine the influence of road factors, human resources, and vehicle factors on traffic safety. The population in this study were motorcyclists who passed through the northern ring road of Surakarta and the sample used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was non- probability sampling with a quota sampling type, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 27. The regression formulation in this study is as follows: Y= 0,733 + 0,333 X1 + 0,203 X2 + 0,385 X3 + µ From this equation, it is known that the most dominant variable influencing Driver Safety is the vehicle factor variable with a regression coefficient of 0.385, followed by the road factor variable with a regression coefficient of 0.333, and finally the human resource variable with a regression coefficient of 0.203. For the Hypothesis Test, each t-test is greater than the t-table of 1.98447, and the significance value of each independent variable is less than 0.05. The R2 (R-square) test yielded a result of 0.561 or 56.1%, meaning that Road Factor, Human Resource, and Vehicle Factor variables influence Traffic Safety by 56.1%, and other factors influencing Traffic Safety by 43.9%. The remainder is influenced by other variables not examined, for example, traffic knowledge, etc. Keywords: Traffic Safety, Road Factor, Human Resources, and Vehicle Factor
