Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of independent variables (rider character, vehicle condition, traffic discipline, and illegal parking) on the dependent variable (safety riding). This study used a population of motorcycle accidents on Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Malang City from January 2024 to December 2024 totaling 10,080, with a sample of 100 respondents taken using a non-probability sampling technique of incidental sampling type. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Y = 0.675 + 0.231X1 + 0.104X2 + 0.685X3 - 0.103X4 + µ From the results of the study on the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. Hypothesis testing using t-test shows that the independent variables (X1) rider character, (X2) vehicle condition, (X3) traffic discipline, and (X4) illegal parking have a positive and significant influence on safety riding. The adjusted R-square value of 0.645 means that 64.5% of the variation in the dependent variable, safety riding, can be explained by the independent variables, while the remaining 35.5% is explained by variables outside the model described in this study.
