Abstract

Traffic accidents are a problem that requires serious handling. For this reason, the study that needs to be done is to analyze the existing traffic accident data. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence between independent variables, namely road conditions, overload vehicles, vehicle problems, human error on the dependent variable, namely traffic accidents. In this study, the object taken is the community of ngaliyan sub-district, Semarang city. The sample of this study was 100 respondents with the technique used was non-probality sampling technique, namely by using incidental sampling, which is a sampling technique by chance or anyone who happens to meet the researcher can be used as a sample. The research model is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of research and multiple linear analysis, the equation is produced: Y = 1.041 +0,083X1+0,130X2 + 0,952X3+0.329X4 µ The results of multiple linear regression equations show that there is no positive and significant influence between road conditions on traffic accidents (t count 1.195 < t table 1.660) while vehicle overload has a positive influence on traffic accidents (t count 1.699 > t table 1.660), vehicle problems on traffic accidents (t count 3.871> t table 1.660). So that the calculation result of the independent variable is 50.1% and the remaining 49.9% does not affect traffic accidents. Keywords: Road Conditions, Vehicle Overload, Vehicle Problems, Human Error
