Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is about the Role of Freight Forwarding in carrying out import activities from Austria. There are several background problems that the author solves, namely how the process of PT. Samudera Banten Logistik in importing goods from Austria and the obstacles faced by PT. Samudera Banten Logistik in import activities. PT. Samudera Banten Logistik is a company engaged in logistics and customs services (Customs Clearance), especially to support export-import activities of goods in Indonesia. This company is a network of Samudera Indonesia Group, one of the largest logistics and shipping groups in Indonesia. This paper is none other than to find out how the process of importing goods is and to find out what agencies, documents and obstacles are faced by PT. Samudera Banten Logistik. Based on data collection carried out during the Land Practice (Prada), the author uses several methods, namely, observation, interviews, and document studies and literature studies. The results of the discussion of this paper are that import activities can run smoothly if the network is adequate so that the effectiveness and efficiency of time.
