Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is about the role in customs in handling activities of PT. Persero Batam in the Free Trade Zone area. There are several background problems that must be solved in this paper, namely how the customs role in the handing activities in open warehouses and warehouses closed by customs and excise in the Free Trade Zone area. This company is engaged in a landfill that has one handling service. Handling activities that carry out landfills in open warehouses and closed warehouses. The purpose of writing this paper is nothing but explaining the process of handling activities in open warehouses and closed warehouses in the Free Trade Zone area at PT. Persero Batam. Based on data collection carried out during land practice the author uses several methods including methods of observation, interviews, and document analysis, the results obtained that the role in handling activities will run smoothly if the parties involved in the customs role in handling service activities cooperate with each other well.
