Abstract
The rocker arm is a component in a diesel engine that functions as a link between the camshaft and the valve, which is tasked with regulating the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valves optimally and continuously. Maintenance and adjustment of rocker arms on diesel engines is very important to maintain optimal engine performance. The purpose of this writing is to understand how to prevent damage to the rocker arm, find out the causes and consequences of the rocker arm not working optimally, as well as maintenance and repair of the rocker arm. The methods used in this writing are observation, interviews and literature methods. Conclusions can be drawn from these results which can be used as a guide for carrying out routine and well-planned maintenance so that the combustion process can run perfectly.
