Abstract

Handling of receiving/delivery services for full container loads will run optimally when everything goes well and there are no obstacles. However, it is different when the implementation is lacking in Human Resources Competence and inadequate infrastructure, resulting in less than optimal receiving/delivery activities for full container loads. These factors cause the loading and unloading process to take a long time and can cause losses for the Company in this case PT. Pelindo Terminal Petikemas and Consumers. In this regard, this paper aims to determine the obstacles in handling receiving/delivery services for full container loads and efforts that can be made to improve the handling of receiving/delivery services for full container loads at PT. Pelindo Terminal Petikemas Kupang. The method used in this paper is descriptive. Data sources are taken from primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques using field research including observation and documentation so that data validity is obtained. The results of data collection concluded that the obstacles that caused less than optimal handling of receiving/delivery services for full container loads were less than optimal Human Resources Competence and inadequate infrastructure. The impact of these constraints is the existence of long queues of trucks, suboptimal time, diversion of unloading when there is a long queue and the full capacity of the container yard. Efforts that can be made are improving the discipline of human resources, especially operators, creating different routes for receiving and delivery trucks and head trucks.
