Abstract

The exhaust valve is an important component in the main engine that functions to open and close the exhaust gas line from the cylinder combustion chamber. The main task of the exhaust gas valve is to hold the combustion gases in the cylinder chamber, ensure that the fuel combustion takes place perfectly, and at the right time, open the exhaust gas line to drain the combustion residue out through the exhaust line. The role of these valves is vital to engine performance, as their punctuality and condition affect the efficiency of combustion and emissions produced. However, there are several problems that can occur in the exhaust gas valve, one of which is the high temperature of the exhaust gas. The main cause of this phenomenon is the leakage of combustion heat in the exhaust valve system. When a leak occurs, heat that would otherwise remain trapped in the combustion chamber can escape, causing the exhaust gas temperature to rise beyond the normal limits acceptable to the engine. This can cause damage to the exhaust valve and other components. Damage that often occurs due to high exhaust gas temperatures includes wear on the valve, decreased sealing performance, and deformation in the valve material which can cause more severe leakage. In addition, if the temperature is not controlled, it can be fatal to other engine components, such as turbines or exhaust systems. To prevent such damage, it is very important to take care of the exhaust gas valve. One of the main steps in maintenance is to perform cooling system maintenance. Cooling serves to absorb excess heat generated by the exhaust gases, keeping the temperature within safe limits. Regular installation and inspection of the cooling system can optimize the operation of the exhaust gas valve and extend the life of these components. In addition, periodic checks on the physical condition of the valve, such as wear and cracks, are also indispensable Replacing damaged valves and cleaning the drain line can prevent the buildup of dirt that can affect engine performance. By carrying out preventive and precise maintenance, damage to the exhaust valve can be avoided, maintain the efficiency of the main engine, and extend the overall life of the engine. Key words :. Engine maintance, exhaust valve, High Temperature
