Abstract
The National Search and Rescue Agency (BNPP) or known as BASARNAS, is a Non-Ministerial Government institution tasked with carrying out government duties in the field of search and rescue (Search and Rescue/SAR). The purpose of writing this paper is to identify and analyze the procedures and emergency aid actions carried out by BNPP Surabaya in handling victims who fell into the sea in the Tanjung Perak Port area, to find out and explain the activities of the preparation process for handling and first aid for accidents at sea correctly and to find out what tools are prepared by BNPP before providing first aid. To find out the obstacles that often occur in the rescue process and the safety support tools used. As well as the rescue flow so that victims can get the right first aid. The data collection method used in this descriptive paper uses direct land practice methods, interviews, observations and literature studies. In this case, collecting data on observation objects related to first aid activities. Based on the observation results obtained in search and rescue (SAR) activities that occur at sea and in shipping lanes. BASARNAS has a very important role in the smoothness of rescue procedures in first aid activities for work accidents in sea lanes. Basarnas' persistence in carrying out its mission is not only depicted in its headline photo, but also in the title and caption. This persistence sometimes makes Basarnas in carrying out its duties put their own safety second when facing bad weather. Key word : BNPP, first aid, port.
