Abstract
The Benoa Class II Port Authority and Port Authority Office is a government agency under the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation whose job is to carry out supervision, law enforcement in the field of shipping safety and security. The Sailing Safety, Guard and Patrol Division has the task of carrying out orderly supervision of ship traffic in harbor waters and shipping lanes, guiding and delaying ships, issuing Sailing Approval Letters, loading transfer activities in port waters, salvage and underwater work, loading and unloading of dangerous goods, special goods, refueling, hazardous and toxic waste, passenger embarkation and disembarkation orders, construction of port facilities, dredging and reclamation, implementation of search and rescue assistance, control and coordination of pollution prevention and fire fighting at ports, implementation of environmental protection maritime affairs, carrying out inspection and verification of ship security systems and port facilities, preliminary examination of ship accidents, law enforcement in the field of shipping safety and security as well as implementing coordination of government activities at ports related to the implementation of surveillance san and law enforcement in the field of shipping safety and security. The method used in this paper uses field research, observation, and interviews. So it can be concluded that the Port Authority and Harbormaster Office have an important role in realizing a good shipping system and it has been carried out according to procedures.
