Abstract
Sailing Approval Letter (SPB) is a state document issued by the Harbor Master to every ship that will sail leaving the port after the ship meets the requirements for ship seaworthiness and other obligations. To find out what documents are needed in issuing a Sailing Approval Letter, an observation was carried out at the Class III Tanjung Wangi Port Organization Unit Office. The observation was carried out by collecting primary and secondary data. The procedure for issuing a Sailing Approval Letter at the Wanci Port Organization Unit Office includes an application for issuance of a Sailing Approval Letter (SPB), examination of the ship's administrative and physical files, and issuance of a Sailing Approval Letter (SPB). Based on observations made in the process of issuing a Sailing Approval Letter, it is well coordinated but still uses physical documents and has not used a single electronic service information system based on the internet (inapornet) so that it takes longer..
