Abstract
Occupational health and safety are important aspects in the unloading of liquid chemical goods, especially in high-risk industrial environments. This study aims to analyze the application of Occupational Health and Safety principles in the unloading of liquid chemical goods at PT. Tomindomas Bulk Tank Terminal. The discussion in this paper includes the procedures and safety steps applied, identification of potential hazards that may arise during the unloading process, and the application of occupational health and safety risk control principles. The results of the study indicate that the company has implemented comprehensive safety procedures, including inspection of personal protective equipment, checking safety documents, and supervision of the equipment used. Some of the identified hazards include exposure to hazardous chemicals, fire, spills, and the risk of physical injury. To control these risks, the company implements a risk control hierarchy, which includes elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative control, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Although the safety procedures have been implemented well, this study also found several aspects that need to be improved to ensure more optimal occupational safety. Overall, PT. Tomindomas Bulk Tank Terminal has implemented procedures in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety standards. Keywords: Occupational Health and Safety, Ship Unloading, Chemical Liquid..
