Abstract
PPJK company is currently one of the important companies in the export and import sector, PT. Cahaya Lautan Maju is a company engaged in logistics. The author takes the subject matter of the handling of document imports of the European Oak Lumber commodity owned by PT. Karya Cipta Unggul Nusantara by PT. Light of the Ocean Forward Semarang. The import-export process carried out by this company focuses on supporting domestic needs. To obtain data the author uses qualitative data by means of direct observation, direct interviews, and literature study to complete the writing. The results of the observations made by the author are to find out the process of handling the import of European Oak Lumber, the documents needed, the parties involved, and the constraints that occur in the process of importing the European Oak Lumber. In the process of importing goods, several obstacles were found, such as system trouble, delays in D/O and PIB payments at banks. Where the results of these observations are in accordance with the problems that the authors found, to overcome this it is necessary to have a recovery that does not only rely on the system and the nature of mutual assistance in the process of dividing work fields. So that it can help smooth and not cause losses in the process of exporting and importing goods. Keywords: Handling, Import, European Oak Lumber
