Abstract
From this observation to identify and analyze various factors affecting the efficiency of the loading and unloading processes at the port. As one of the main ports in Indonesia, Tanjung Emas plays a crucial role in supporting export and import activities. However, based on direct observations during field practice, the author discovered several obstacles hindering productivity, including limitations in heavy equipment such as container crane, adverse weather conditions, the state of the container yard, and issues with chassis trucks. In this research, the author employs a qualitative approach to gather and analyze data related to loading and unloading activities. Several methods used include interviews with relevant parties, direct observations, and the collection of pertinent documents. The analysis results reveal that equipment malfunctions, extreme weather conditions, and container yard congestion are the dominant factors affecting the smoothness of loading and unloading processes. This study also emphasizes the importance of effective management and adequate infrastructure to enhance productivity at Tanjung Emas Port. Based on the findings, the author provides recommendations for stakeholders, particularly port authorities and shipping companies, to evaluate and improve existing facilities. By increasing the quantity and quality of heavy equipment, as well as considering weather factors and container arrangements, it is expected that loading and unloading productivity can significantly improve. This research is intended to serve as a reference for future studies related to operational efficiency in Indonesian ports. Keywords: analysis, productivity, loading, unloading, container.
