Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime axis country in the world, ports are important infrastructure as a link between islands and countries. Therefore, in 2016 the government issued the inaportnet system to improve services in and out of ships at ports. As time goes by, the government's efforts to optimize ship service activities at ports are by launching the SSM system under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, as regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 44 of 2018. Even though the SSM system is a system designed to optimize ship service activities at ports, this system still has advantages and disadvantages, as the author discovered when conducting field observations and interviews. The results of the observations made by the author are that with the SSM system, agents only need to input once and the data is automatically sent to the relevant agency. The obstacle found is that the SSM system cannot be used optimally because the SSM system cannot copy data from the previous port, while the obstacles faced by the SSM system have not been fully implemented by the relevant agencies such as the KKP agency. The purpose of this writing is to find out about optimizing the SSM system in ship agency services, as well as finding out the problems that exist in the SSM system. The research results show that the government must continue to develop and optimize the ship agency service system so as not to cause double work or manual work that still requires carrying physical documents.
