Abstract
The cylinder head is a component of the cylinder block cover whose job is to close the cylinder cavity, where the closed space is the combustion chamber. So, with this cover, combustion can occur. If the cylinder block is referred to as the base engine part or the basic component of the engine, then the cylinder head is called the second base because this component is also the basis for several components in the upper engine. because it is in this component that the combustion chamber is placed, the latter is a component for placing other engine components such as valve mechanisms, manifolds and spark plugs/injectors. The cylinder head was originally made of cast steel made through the same casting technique as the cylinder block.However, it has a downside. Namely the weight that is too large, the overall large weight will burden the performance of the machine itself.The cylinder head functions as acylinder coverand as place for the ijector to atomize fuel.The cylnder head consist ijector,exhaust valve intake valve,cooler.Thecylinder head must b assited wiyh a good cooling proses to avoid damage.Cylinder heads are usually made of cast iron or cast stell.These materials were chosen because they are able to withstand high tempereaturs and pressure.
