Abstract

The safety of electric bicycle users is influenced by several factors including driving behavior, vehicle conditions and legality. All three have an important role in influencing the safety of electric bicycle users. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an influence of driving behavior, vehicle conditions and legality in the city of Semarang partially or simultaneously. The sample in this study was 100 respondents who were electric bicycle users in the city of Semarang using incidental sampling. Based on this analysis, the following regression equation was obtained: Y = 0.974 + 0.301X1 + 0.250X2 + 0.303X3 + µ From the regression equation, it can be seen that the most dominant variable influencing the safety of electric bicycle users is driving behavior with a regression coefficient of 0.301 and an Adjusted R Square test of 0.638. This means that the variables Driving Behavior, Vehicle Conditions, Legality have a contribution of 63.8% in influencing Driving Safety. Meanwhile, other factors that influence Driving Safety (100% - 63.8%) = 36.2% are influenced by other variables outside this study.
