Abstract
Maritime transportation plays an important role in connecting people and goods around the world via various types of ships. The use of containers is crucial in increasing efficiency and effectiveness in goods transportation. Therefore, the Tanjung Emas Port Container Terminal, Semarang, only specializes in handling container loading and unloading activities. Every year the use of containers increases. With the increasing growth in container flows, the existing operating system and equipment maintenance system needs to be reviewed to see whether its performance is optimal or still needs to be improved. Parameters related to the level of operational performance of loading and unloading equipment are high availability (%) and utilization (%) which are influenced by Operating Hours (Hour Meters), Available Hours and Availability Breakdown Hours. for each type of equipment used. Parameters related to the level of maintenance performance of loading and unloading equipment are measuring the level of tool reliability (MTBF) and system reliability (MTTR). The MTBF and MTTR values as maintenance benchmarks are very dependent on the frequency of equipment interruptions and damage. The results of operational performance show that availability ranges from 99% and 97%. For tool utilization with percentage values ranging from 55% and 42%. For 230 hours the average time the equipment operates without any disturbance/damage (MTBF) and 25.54 hours the average time to resolve equipment disturbance/damage (MTTR) is the result of the maintenance performance obtained for each tool. With scheduled preventive maintenance, fatal damage to the equipment can be avoided or serious damage can be minimized and the equipment can operate with good performance. Keywords : Hour Meter Operating Hours (JO), Available Hours (JT), Breakdown Availability Hours (BDA) and Total Breakdown Availability (NBDA).
