Abstract
The growth of the national maritime industry as a response to the Indonesian government's initiative to expand national shipping capabilities for inter-island cargo and passenger transportation. An inventory of the shipyard's current condition and operational capabilities in building and repairing ships according to the existing schedule is necessary for initial data as a guide for enhancing the shipyard's ability to manufacture new shipbuilding, including repairs/docking. The shipyard's operational contribution is more focused toward ship docking, as the material needs are more localized, according to secondary data analysis. Furthermore, the risk of loss and the amount of time spent working can be reduced. Sea trials are used to assess a ship's performance and overall seaworthiness. Speed, maneuverability, equipment, and safety elements of the ship are frequently tested. Technical representatives from the builder (and the main system builder) are usually present, as are regulatory and certifying officials. Keywords: docking/repair, shipyard, sea trial
