Abstract

This research paper is motivated because there is frequent fishing vessel accident in Indonesia so this matter causing substantial losses forthe owners of the vessel. By looking at the existing problems, so this research paper aimed to analyze about any factors that can increase the level of navigation safety of fishing vessel, by analyzing factors that affect safety of fishing vessel, the resources of vessel crew, the role of the cost guard, through the tools of vessel safety, and Aids to Navigation (AtoN) to navigation safety of fishing vessel. The population that used in this research paper is the entire crew. Samples of this research paper are 94 respondents and the techniques used is non-probability sampling technique with insidental sampling, which is a sampling technique based on chance, ie anyone who incidentally met with reseachers can be used as the sample (Sugiyono, 2015). The question is given by using a questionnaire. Respondents answers to the closed questions about variables studied in this research paper then analyzed by using SPSS (Stastistic Package for Social Science Version 23:00. Data analysis technique in this research is multiple linear regression technique. Based on the research results and multiple analysis resulting equation: Y = 2,591 + 0,252 X1 + 0,251 X2 + 0,177 X3 + 0,169 X4 + μ the results of multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a partial of positive influence between the resources of vessel crew toward safety of fishing vessel (t arithmetic 2,978 > t table 1,9855), the role of the cost guard toward safety of fishing vessel (t arithmetic 3,068 > t table 1,9855), through the tools of vessel safety toward safety of fishing vessel (t arithmetic 2,435 > t table 1,9855), and the role of Aids to Navigation (AtoN) toward navigation safety of fishing vessel (t arithmetic 2,281 > t table 1,9855). As for the feasibility test models (F arithmetic 30,011 > F table 2, 47). The fourth influence of research variables is very strong with the correlation value Adjusted R2 (0,555). By simultan variable the resources of vessel crew, the role of the cost guard, through the tools of vessel safety, and Aids to Navigation (AtoN) influential 55.5% toward afety of fishing vessel and 44,5% are influenced by the variables that are not detected in this research.
