Abstract
The problems encountered in the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring are: 1) the occurrence of tidal floods around the dock area, 2) lack of equipment checks before the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring, 3) truck fleet delays during the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring, with the objectives being: 1) To understand the procedure for corn cargo stevedoring. 2) To understand the documents for corn cargo stevedoring. 3) To describe the equipment for corn cargo stevedoring. 4) To describe the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring. 5) To describe the encountered obstacles and their solutions in the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring. The type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. This research was conducted at PT Harindra Mitra Sempurna Semarang from August 2023 to February 2024. Data collection techniques used were Observation, Interview, and Documentation. The informants in this research were the Operational Staff of PT Harindra Mitra Sempurna Semarang. The results of this research are: 1) corn cargo stevedoring procedures include: a) administrative procedures for corn cargo stevedoring services, b) planning for corn cargo stevedoring. 2) corn cargo stevedoring documents, 3) corn cargo stevedoring equipment, 4) implementation of corn cargo stevedoring, 5) encountered obstacles and their solutions in the implementation of corn cargo stevedoring include: a) tidal flood occurrence, solution: relocating the loading and unloading process to a higher dock, b) mechanical equipment damage and solution: repairing the mechanical equipment, c) truck fleet delays and solution: chartering trucks from other companies.
