Abstract

Cranes have the main function as a tool used for cargo transportation and are considered an efficient tool for transportation operations. The smooth operation of the ship is determined by how the operational conditions of the ship when carrying out operational activities which include transportation activities, loading and unloading activities, to administrative activities. Ship loading and unloading activities use deck cranes. Deck Crane has a maximum Safe Working Load (SWL) limit which is a reference in lifting a load that is used as a guide in the loading and unloading process. Load testing is carried out to overcome the lifting of loads or goods that exceed the maximum limit that can cause damage. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which crane load testing and crane productivity affect the implementation of the loading and unloading process at Sluke Port, Rembang. The purpose of this research is to Know the process of implementing Crane load tests on Tugboat Nelly 31 and Berau Coal 62 and Know the effect of the results of the implementation of the loading and unloading process of goods on Tugboat Nelly 31 and Berau Coal 62. The research method used includes calculating loading and unloading productivity and calculating the cycle time of crane loading and unloading equipment. The results showed that the average amount of loading and unloading of sand material TB. Nelly 31 is 4174 tons. The Working Load Capacity of the Crane is 30 tons for TB. Nelly 31 with the load to be transported exceeds the maximum capacity of the crane for transportation at 75%, 100% and 125% load for one crane. The average number of cranes needed is 3 pieces with the amount of sand material that can be transported per hour, namely 111 tons / gang / hour. the average amount of loading and unloading of TB coal material. Berau Coal 62 is 7431 tons. The Working Load Capacity of the Crane is 35 tons for TB. Berau Coal 62 with the calculation of 75% load testing capacity weighing 26.25 tons, 100% capacity weighing 35 tons and 125% capacity weighing 43.75 tons. In this case, the load to be transported exceeds the maximum capacity of the crane for transportation at 75%, 100% and 125% load for one crane. he average number of cranes required is 4. The amount of sand material that can be transported per hour is 195 tons/gang/hour. Material to be dredged during 2023 with an average load of 4174 tons with loading time of 1246 seconds, traveling time of 1179 seconds, unloading time of 1235 seconds and return time of 1224 seconds. The total time required from digging to return time is 4884 seconds. Meanwhile, the material to be dredged during 2023 with an average load of 7431 tons with a loading time of 2218 seconds, traveling time of 2099 seconds, unloading time of 2199 seconds and return time of 2179 seconds.
