Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine which is more efficient between the use of Shore Connection and the use of ship generators. The method and type of research used are qualitative descriptive and the total objects are 3 ships. The data collection instrument uses the Cost benefit Analysis (CBA) method. The final result of the study, that for ship generators and Shore Connection there is a significant difference in the costs incurred. For ship generators, the total cost and percentage value during the ship unloading process are, the Ibrahim Zahier ship Rp. 106,082,000 (21%), the Pusri Indonesia 1 ship Rp. 170,201,000 (34%), the Abusamah ship Rp. 144,637,500 (29%). While for Shore Connection, the total cost and percentage value during the ship unloading process are, the Ibrahim Zahier ship Rp. 20,165,500 (4%), Pusri Indonesia1 Rp. 22,193,550 (4%), the Abusamah ship Rp. 34,162,100 (7%). After the ship generator and Shore Connection were compared for the percentage, there was a decrease in costs incurred when using Shore Connection, namely, the Ibrahim Zahier ship 81%, the Pusri Indonesia I ship 87%, the Abusamah ship 76%. The costs incurred when the ship unloads using Shore Connection electricity are less, compared to the use of ship generator electricity. So, the use of Shore Connection electricity is more effective and efficient to minimize costs incurred during the unloading process. Keywords:elektricity, fuel, generator, cost
