Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze whether driver behavior, vehicle condition, road conditions, and traffic compliance can have a positive influence on motorbike riding safety on Jalan Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency. In this research, the objects taken were all motorbike riders on Jalan Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency. In this study, the population is motorbike riders on Jalan Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency. The sample in this study consisted of 100 respondents. With a non-probability sampling technique, data collection uses a questionnaire, the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis techniques including validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing. Based on this analysis, the following regression equation is obtained : Y = -1.661 + 0.318X1 + 0.257X2 + 0.230X3 + 0.319X4 + µ This means that if there are no changes or consistency in rider behavior, vehicle condition, road conditions, traffic compliance, then the safety value of riding a motorbike will decrease by 1.661. The driver behavior coefficient value of 0.318 states that if the driver behavior value is increased by 1 unit, the safety value for riding a motorbike will be 0.318. The vehicle condition regression value of 0.257 states that if the safety value for riding a motorbike is increased by 1 unit, then the safety value for riding a motorbike will be 0.257. The road condition regression value of 0.230 states that if the driving safety value is increased by 1 unit, the motorbike driving safety value will be 0.230. The traffic compliance regression value of 0.319 states that if the safety value for riding a motorbike is increased by 1 unit, the safety value for riding a motorbike will be 0.319. The Adjusted R2 value is 0.609, this states that 60.9% of the variation in the dependent variable of motorbike riding safety can be explained by variations in the four independent variables, namely rider behavior, vehicle condition, road condition, traffic compliance. Meanwhile, the remainder (100%-60.9%=39.1%) is influenced by other variables outside this research. Keywords : Driver Behavior, Vehicle Condition, Road Condition, Traffic Compliance
