Abstract
This research aims to identify the necessary preparations for dealing with adverse weather, enhance individual responsibility for tasks, and strengthen communication to prevent undesirable incidents. Data collection was conducted to gather information supporting the research objectives. The research method used is qualitative, as this method is descriptive and focuses on analysis, processes, and the meanings derived from observations. It is expected that regular training and simulations for all crew members related to handling adverse weather situations will be implemented. Effective communication between the ship, the land control center, and the crew is also crucial to reduce the risk of miscommunication. Developing detailed emergency procedures, including adverse weather scenarios, will help the crew understand the steps to take in emergency situations. Keywords: Contingency Plan, Bad Weather, Cruise
