Abstract

Congestion is a situation or situation where traffic is hampered or even stops due to the large number of vehicles exceeding the road capacity. Congestion often occurs in big cities, one of which is on Jalan Bojong Gede. This research aims to analyze the influence of Road Section, Traffic Volume and Population Density. on the dependent variable Traffic Congestion. With a population of all Bojong Gede road users and a sample of 100 respondents was taken. With a non-probability sampling technique, incidental sampling type, data collection uses questionnaires, the data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis techniques including validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing. Based on this analysis, the following regression equation is obtained: Y = 1.113 + 0.303x1 + 0.417x2 + 0.278x3 + µ Hypothesis testing using the t test shows that the three independent variables are road segment (X1), traffic volume (X2), and population density (X3) which was studied was proven to have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely traffic congestion. In the coefficient of determination (R Square) test, the Adjust R square value is 0.526. This means that the variables Road Section (X1), Traffic Volume (X2), and Population Density (X3) have a contribution of 52.6% in influencing Traffic Congestion (Y). Meanwhile, other factors that influence traffic congestion (100% - 52.6%) = 47.4% are explained by other factors outside this research model such as flow factors, accidents and traffic facilities. Thus, the research results show that road segment (X1), traffic volume (X2), and population density (X3) have a positive and significant effect on traffic congestion on the Bojong Gede road. Keywords: Road Section, Traffic Volume, Population Density, Traffic Congestion
