Abstract

Traffic accidents are the main cause of death from various causes, accidents constitute ranks to tenth on the death and the ninth as the main contributor to global mortality. Preceded the accident occurred due to violation of traffic, road conditions and rider ability or skill. The majority of accident victims are adolescents aged 10 years to 20 years. There are many factors that affect traffic accident such as: student behavior as a motorcyclist, adherence students will be traffic signs and road characteristics all of which greatly affects the occurrence of traffic accidents. This research will be on the analysis by using of three independent variables, student behavior as a motorcyclist, obedience to traffic signs and road characteristics that influence the dependent variable is traffic accidents. Formulation of the problem, research objectives and hypotheses in this research is to analyze the influence of the independent variables, namely student behavior as a motorcyclist, adherence students will be traffic signs and road characteristics. of the dependent variable is traffic accidents. In this study, samples taken object is a students a motorcyclist whose school is located along the road sultan Fattah Demak. Sources of data include secondary and primary data. Samples in this study were 100 respondents who are constitute student of motorcycle users whose school is located along the road sultan Fattah Demak. Sampling technique used was quota sampling techniques and the methods used is multiple linear regression using SPSS version 16. Results of multiple linear equations indicate that there is a positive effect partially between the behavior of the students as a motorcyclist against traffic accidents (2,854 t> t table 1.984), compliance will be student traffic signs (t 3.125> t table 1984), road characteristics (thitung 2902> ttable 1984). The feasibility test model (Fhitung 49 966> Ftabel 2,70). The third influence very strong research variables with a correlation value R Square = 0.577. Simultaneously student behavior as a motorcyclist, compliance will be student traffic signs and road characteristics affecting traffic accidents. Keywords: student behavior as a motorcyclist, adherence will be students traffic signs and road characteristics, traffic accidents.
