Abstract
Dry bulk loading and unloading, a vital process in the global supply chain, moves commodities such as grain, fertilizer, and coal from ships to land. Conducted at dedicated ports, dry bulk loading and unloading involves multiple parties and plays a critical role in food security, industry, and international trade. Understanding the characteristics of commodities, processes, technologies, regulations, and challenges in dry bulk loading and unloading opens up interesting research opportunities, such as efficiency analysis, stacking optimization, and environmental impacts. This research can contribute to the development of a more efficient, safe, and sustainable dry bulk loading and unloading system. ET/BT in 2023 experienced an increase and decrease in the average ET/BT value every month. The highest average ET/BT value occurred in November at 94% and the lowest value occurred in March at 63%. The productivity of dry bulk loading and unloading at the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang based on T/G/J obtained an average value of T/G/J bulk carrier of 293.51 and an average value of T/G/J barge obtained 149.97. The comparison percentage diagram above shows that the percentage of Bulk Carrier productivity is 66% higher than Barges which get 34%. In November, the port performance was quite good from the predetermined standard value of 90% while in March the performance of the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang was categorized as less good from the predetermined standard value. The productivity of dry bulk loading and unloading based on T/G/J at the port of Tanjung Emas Semarang has met the standard value determined by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation.
