Abstract
Transportation is an important aspect of daily human life or activities. With transportation, people can easily access various areas both short and long distances that generally cannot be reached on foot. Lack of attention to traffic results in various violations, such as breaking red lights, which causes traffic accidents. Ironically, traffic sign violations are the type of violation most frequently committed by users of trucks carrying goods which is at the top of the list. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence traffic safety at the Tanjung Emas port. The population in this study were truck drivers with a research sample of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with a type of sampling, namely the Simple Random Sampling technique. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative analysis, data is analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) software. The results of this research show that the variables Driver Factor, Driver Factor, Road Condition, Vehicle Condition partially influence Port Traffic Safety. The results of multiple regression analysis obtained the equation Y = - 1.053 + 0.323X1 + 0.261X2 + 0.337X3 + 0.150X4 + µ where all the variables studied showed a positive and significant influence on Port Traffic Safety. From the regression equation it can also be seen that the variable that has the most dominant influence on Port Traffic Safety is the Road Condition variable with a regression coefficient of 0.337. And the coefficient of determination value obtained (Adjusted R Square = 0.506) means 50.6%. The coefficient of determination value is 50.6%, while the remainder (100% - 50.6% = 49.4%) is influenced by other variables outside the research or modal regression equation. Keywords: Driver Factors, Driver Factors, Road Conditions, Vehicle Conditions, Port Traffic Safety.
