Abstract

Illegal Parking has become a troubling problem in many major cities, often disrupting traffic and public order. Illegal parking is a phenomenon in which vehicles are parked in areas that are not allowed or not in accordance with applicable regulations, often in places that should not be used for parking, such as sidewalks, green spaces, or emergency lanes. These problems often have significant negative impacts, including traffic congestion, danger to pedestrians, damage to public infrastructure, and deterioration in the aesthetic quality of the city. The main causes of illegal parking include lack of supervision, parking lots, and law enforcement. The population in this study is parking attendants in 2023 as many as 65 respondents with the sampling technique is nonprobability sampling, the type of sampling is simple random sampling. The analysis technique in this study uses multiple linear regression. The formulation of regression in this study is as follows: Y = a + b1X1 + b2X2 + b3X3 + µ Y = 2.212 + 0.165 X1 + 0.181 X2 + 0.347 X3 + μ The results of the multiple regression study showed that there was a positive influence between the lack of supervision on illegal parking (t-count 6.726 > t-table 1.99897), parking lots against illegal parking (t-count 2.991 > t-table 1.99897), law enforcement against illegal parking (t-count 3.870 > t-table 1.99897). From the regression equation, it can be known that based on the results of the calculation, it can be known that the determination coefficient of Adjusted R Square obtained is 0.323 (Adjusted R=0.323x100%). This means that 32.3%, the dependent variable (Illegal Parking) is influenced by the independent variable (Lack of Supervision, Parking Lot, Law Enforcement). While the rest (100%-32.3%=67.7%) is explained by causes other than the variable model that was not studied Keywords: Lack of Supervision, Illegal Parking, Law Enforcement, Illegal Parking
