Abstract

This research was conducted on Sumobito highway, Jombang Regency. This research uses driver behavior, vehicle condition and traffic volume as independent variables, traffic accidents as the dependent variable. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of driver behavior, vehicle condition and traffic volume on traffic accidents on Sumobito highway, Jombang Regency. The sample used was users of the Sumobito highway, Jombang Regency, where the number of samples determined in this study was 100 respondents with the sampling technique in this study using incidental sampling. The analysis used includes validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing, partial t test, coefficient of determination, and managerial implications. The results of the analysis using the statistical tools of the SPSS (Statistical Product And Service Solutions) Version 26 program obtained a multiple linear regression equation. Y = - 0,087 + 0,222 X1, + 0,368 X2 + 0,388 X3 + µ. The multiple linear regression equation shows that there is a positive and significant influence between driver behavior on traffic accidents tcount (2.471) > ttable (1.98472), vehicle condition on traffic accidents tcount (3.299) > ttable (1.98472), traffic volume against traffic accidents tcount (4.079) > ttable (1.98472). The influence of the three variables of traffic volume, driver behavior, and vehicle condition in this study is very strong with a coefficient of determination (R2) value obtained of 67.9% on traffic accidents and 32% influenced by other variables that were not detected in this research. Keywords: Driver Behavior, Vehicle Condition, Traffic Volume, Traffic Accidents.
