Abstract
Sailing safety is a situation where everyone is protected from the risk of accidents while sailing which are caused by certain factors. This research aims to determine the influence of seaworthiness, shipping navigation aids, and the role of the harbormaster on the safety of fishermen at the Port of Tegal City. The population in this study were fishermen at the Port of Tegal City and the sample used in this study was 100 respondents. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling, quota sampling type, then the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of (software) Statistical Package For Social Science (SPSS) Version 25. The regression formulation in this research is as follows: Y-0,733+0,333X1+0,203X2+0,385Χ3 + μ From this equation it is known that the variable that has the most dominant influence on shipping safety is the role of the harbor master variable with a regression coefficient of 0.385. The R2 (R Square) test obtained a result of 0.561 or 56.1%, which means that shipping safety is influenced by ship seaworthiness variables, shipping navigation aids and the role of the harbormaster, namely 56.1% and other factors that influence fishermen's safety at Tegal City Harbor, namely 43.9% Keyword: ship seaworthiness, shipping navigation
