Abstract

A cooling machine is a tool used to transfer heat from indoors to outdoors to make the temperature of an object or room lower. Maintenance and operation are important steps to keep the cooling machine in good condition and ready to use. The purpose of this writing is to find out how to maintain, operate, and repair cooling machines. Writing this paper uses a descriptive and qualitative data-type approach. Primary data is taken from the main source, and secondary data is taken from observations during land practice. The data collection method used was by observing the Sendang Sari Hotel. Apart from that, it uses literature studies from journal articles, books, and the internet. The results of the observations are that the operation of the cooling machine in the hotel must be done in the right way so that it works well. Problems with cooling machines in hotels can be prevented by maintaining the cooling machines regularly and in accordance with the provisions of the applicable manual. Cooling is the process of taking heat that causes a decrease in the ambient temperature and maintains the temperature according to the desired time. There are several cooling systems used, but the vapor compression cooling system is a cooling system that is commonly used because it is easy to apply and easy to analyze. The system consists of a compressor, valve expansion, condenser, and evaporator. The conclusion from this observation is that the maintenance and operation of the cooling machine must be carried out properly to keep the machine always ready for use, and maintenance must be carried out periodically and regularly.
