Abstract
The main topic of discussion in writing this paper is about the loading and unloading process of Soyabean Meal cargo by PT. Esa Zona Express, Surabaya at Gudang Berkat Abbah. There are several background problems that must be resolved by the author, namely the role of transit warehouses in supporting the production of Soya Bean Meal animal feed cargo, the flow of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for loading and unloading Soya Bean Meal (SBM) cargo and obstacles that occur during the loading and unloading process of Soya Bean Meal (SBM) cargo in the warehouse to lead to a deep understanding of the dry bulk loading and unloading process. The purpose of writing this paper is none other than to find out the loading and unloading process of Soya Bean Meal (SBM) cargo in the Berkat Abbah warehouse. This study uses qualitative research methods with conservation approaches, interviews, documentation and literacy studies to determine the loading and unloading process of Soya Bean Meal (SBM) cargo in warehouses, focusing on understanding the role of transit warehouses in supporting the production of Soya Bean Meal animal feed cargo, SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), and obstacles that arise during loading and unloading activities. The result of the discussion of this paper is the role of transit warehouses in supporting the production of Soya Bean Meal animal feed cargo, the application of good SOP (Standard Operating Process) and careful planning in order to be able to store Soya Bean Meal (SBM) cargo in the warehouse. The most frequent obstacles that occur during the loading and unloading process in the warehouse include man power (coolies), unfavorable weather factors, heavy equipment constraints, electricity and sudden changes in work plans. Therefore, in the process of loading and unloading in the warehouse, it is necessary to pay attention to checking and repairing the tools and facilities used in the warehouse so that there are no obstacles that hinder the cargo unloading process.
