Abstract
The main discussion in writing this paper is about the procedure for issuing a Sailing Approval Letter on the Dharma Kartika VIII Ferry Boat by PT. Dharma Lautan Utama, Palembang Branch. There are several background problems that the author must resolve, namely the procedure for issuing a Sailing Approval Letter and the obstacles encountered in the activity of issuing a Sailing Approval Letter. The purpose of writing this paper is to find out the procedure for issuing a Sailing Approval Letter on the Dharma Kartika VIII Ferry Boat and find out the obstacles it faces. Based on the activities carried out during the onshore practice, the authors used several data collection methods , namely observation, document study, and literature study. The result of this paper is the procedure for issuing the Sailing Approval Letter on the Dharma Kartika.
