Abstract
The propeller is the rotating engine element to run the ship. This element transfers mechanical power by converting rotational motion to create thrust to move a ship-like vehicle through a fluid such as water, by turning two or more twin blades of a main shaft. In other words, the propeller functions to convert engine power into a boost according to the combination of RPM and speed. The propeller is an engine component that is used to transmit power by converting rotational motion into thrust. A pressure difference is generated between the front and rear surfaces of the blade. Propellers are widely used in the aviation, maritime and energy machinery industries. The development of the propeller design is getting better with an adequate aerodynamic shape, so that it can produce even greater thrust, based on a fixed mechanism called the Fixed Pitch Propeller (FPP) and a mechanism that can be adjusted for its angle of attack, commonly known as the Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) or Variable Propeller Pitch (VPP). Treatment for the propeller itself is to see if the propeller is not feasible or can still be used by doing maintenance on the propeller itself.
