Abstract

According to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation, one of the causes of road traffic accidents is motorbikes where there are four factors that cause traffic accidents, namely, road user negligence, vehicle unworthiness, road unworthiness and the environment. The most common causes of traffic accidents in Indonesia are caused by human factors. Based on the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis, the equation Y = 1.465 + 0.207 X1, + 0.283 X2 + 0.030 X3+ 0.338 X4+, which means that the independent variables (drivers, pedestrians, vehicles and road conditions) are considered constant, then traffic accidents have a positive value of 1.465. If the value of the driver variable is at the level of 1 unit, the traffic accident variable has increased by 0.207. If the pedestrian value is at the level of 1 unit then the traffic accident variable has increased by 0.283. If the value of the vehicle is at the level of 1 unit, the traffic accident variable has increased by 0.030. If the value of road conditions is at the level of 1 unit, the traffic accident variable has increased by 0.338. Based on hypothesis testing with t test, the t table value is 1.98498. For t-count driver variable is 2.491, t-count pedestrian variable is 3.566, t-count variable for vehicle is 2.197 and t-count variable is road conditions of 4.675. So the result is that t count > t table, then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So there is a significant influence between the four independent variables on the dependent variable. The magnitude of R2 is 0.661, this means that the variable drivers, pedestrians, vehicles, road conditions have a contribution of 66.1% in influencing traffic accidents. While other factors that have an effect of (100% - 66.1%) = 33.9%. That is, the remaining 33.9% is another variable that is not proposed in this study. Keywords: drivers, pedestrians, road conditions, traffic accidents
