Abstract

This study aims to determine and obtain information about the Analysis of Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Conventional Buoy Mooring on Jetty 2 at Pertamina Integrated Terminal Panjang. The technique of taking research subjects or informants used is purposive sampling, with criteria: 1) Main informant; 2) Key informant; 3) Additional informant, because of the age and length of service is considered sufficient to provide opinions and statements that do not change. More specifically, the criteria for informants selected were six people with professional backgrounds related to ships, scouting, port and construction. Two skippers, two scouts, one Port Manager and one Project Manager, it is intended that informants have their own point of view and uniqueness. With the data collection technique used is interview, and the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative with constant comparative method. In the end, the data validity check used is source triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it was found that according to the informants, the factors that affect the effectiveness of conventional buoy mooring (CBM) on Jetty 2 are influenced by several factors including: 1) The effectiveness of the use of CBM; 2) Supporting factors for the use of CBM; 3) Factors inhibiting the use of CBM.
