Abstract
Based on the results of research conducted by Basarnas Semarang, the search and rescue team stated that there were several factors that caused people to drown, namely accidents due to leg cramps, tiredness/out of breath due to panic, waves, sea/river currents, nature such as floods, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to provide immediate assistance when you see someone drowning. The purpose of this observation is to find out the procedures for carrying drowning victims at sea, to know the tools used to help drowning victims, to know about medical treatment after the victim is taken to a safe place. The method used to collect data is descriptive qualitative, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results achieved are that Basarnas Semarang has several methods or stages in helping drowning victims, tools to help rescue drowning victims are used effectively and efficiently and are well maintained, as well as medical/first aid measures when the victim is successfully lifted to the surface or land.
