Abstract
In providing the best possible service to the community, ports in Indonesia are required to further increase their role in providing the best possible services to the community or sea transportation service users. When viewed from a development aspect, sea transportation has the function of supporting all development sectors and helping to achieve optimal allocation of economic resources. The aim of this research was to analyze the process of berthing and unberthing of ships at the Pelindo Jetty at Satui Harbor, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). including (1) to analyze whether port services influence the ship berthing and unberthing process at the Pelindo Jetty at Satui Harbor PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero); (2) to analyze whether Ship pilotage has an effect on the Ship Berthing and unberthing process at the Pelindo Jetty at Satui Harbor PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero); (3) to analyze whether ship maneuvering has an effect on the ship berthing and unberthing process at the Pelindo Jetty at Satui Harbor PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).” The research location was at the Pelindo Jetty, Satui Harbor, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia The independent variables in this research were Port Services (X1), Ship pilotage (X2), Ship Maneuvering (X3), while the dependent variable was Ship Berthing & unberthing Process (Y).. The capability of Port Services (X1), Ship pilotage (X2), Ship Maneuvering (X3) explained the Berthing & Ship unberthing Process (Y1) by 77.9% so that this model was a strong model which had substantial (large strong) influence. so that the ship berthing & exit process can be explained by port services, ship pilotage, ship maneuvering at 77.9%, the remaining 22.1% was explained by variables outside the model. The results of the influence of Ship Maneuvering to Y1 (Ship Berthing & Unberthing Process) of 1,069 was quite large. Keywords: Ship Berthing.
