Abstract
The role of port facilities and container stacking in supporting loading and unloading activities by PT. Rimo Transport Expressindo. Seeing the fact that the geographical condition of Indonesia is an archipelagic country where the water area is much wider than the land, it is natural that the development and regulation of sea transportation needs to receive great attention. Basically, the trend of the port management system is in line with the order, direction, targets and guidance of port services with one of the container unloading companies in an effort to increase productivity, optimize productivity, optimize users of facilities and equipment, develop ports in the form of parallel cooperation and mutual need and rates set by the port. The main problem in this paper is how the activities and calculation of loading and unloading rates for export-import containers at ordinary ports run as efficiently as possible, the parties involved in loading and unloading containers, and what are the roles and responsibilities of ports and companies towards consumers. The purpose of the discussion of this research is to find out about the activities and application of loading and unloading rates for containers at sea, to see further how the relationship between container loading and unloading companies and related parties in supporting container loading and unloading activities at the port and the responsibilities of the port. in the loading and unloading process. In writing this paper, the writing methods used were library research, field research and interviews during land practice. From the research results it can be concluded that the procedure and system for loading and unloading containers at the port is a service activity that is engaged in loading and unloading activities for export and import containers from and to ships, the role of the port is only to provide services for loading and unloading activities from the container terminal to ships and from ship to container terminal.
