Abstract
Seaworthiness is something that needs to be considered on a ship when it is about to sail to minimize further damage during an emergency on board. KSOP Class III Kijang as the executor of inspection duties has an important role in ensuring the seaworthiness of a ship entering the port. This research aims to analyzed the implementation of inspections on the KM.Sabuk Nusantara ship carried out by KSOP Class III Kijang. The research method used was analysis of supervision and inspection steps on the ship. The results of the analysis showed that KSOP Class III Kijang had carried out several actions, including testing safety equipment and the use of ship navigation equipment. However, several obstacles were found, such as the inadequacy of safety equipment. Therefore, there is a need for maintenance and attention efforts to increase supervision and awareness of ship safety so that there are no undesirable incidents on ships when sail Key words: Seaworthiness, supervision, safety, maintenance
