Abstract

Split air conditioner, a machine used to cool the air by circulating refrigerant gas, is in a pipe that is pressed and sucked by the compressor. Refrigerant gas as a circulating material, this material is volatile and its shape can change, which is in the form of liquids and gases. The heat in the condenser pipe comes from refrigerant gas pressed by the compressor so that the refrigerant changes phase from liquid and is expanded by the capillary pipe, so that The pressure increases on the evaporator pipe to cool. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Methods to solve problems by studying in depth. The formulation of the problem from this paper is what factors cause the air conditioner not to cool, efforts to improve the occurrence of the causes of the air conditioner not cold and maintenance of the AC system. Based on the most common problems of damage are dirty evaporators, dirty condensers, dirty indoor filters, and lack of freon. The result of the cause of the air conditioner not cooling is dirty condenser and evaporator, lack of freon and dirty indoor filter. The fix is to clean the condenser and evaporator, add refrigerant and clean the indoor filter. The maintenance carried out is condenser maintenance, checking refrigerant, checking pipes, checking outdoor air conditioners, and checking evaporators. Keywords: Ac split, Repair, Maintenance.
