Abstract
Safety in the world of shipping is something that must be pursued by all parties, especially those involved in it. Safety and security in shipping that can be improved to reduce the potential for maritime accidents is the mooring system. There are two inhibiting factors during the docking process, namely internal and external factors. In this paper, the type of data used by the author is qualitative data, namely, data that the author found in the field while carrying out grounding practices at PT PELNI Semarang Branch. a. To find out what the mooring preparation procedures are so that they can run safely and efficiently on KM ships. KELIMUTU at Tanjung Emas Harbor, Semarang. b. To find out what equipment must be prepared for the mooring process on a KM ship. KELIMUTU at Tanjung Emas Harbor, Semarang. c. To find out what obstacles occurred during the mooring process on the KM ship. KELIMUTU at Tanjung Emas Port Semarang 1. preparations that must be made in the mooring preparation process so that it is safe and efficient at KM. COMPLETENESS from the condition of the crew to the equipment on the ship 2. Equipment that must be prepared during the mooring process, there are several preparations from the ropes and PPE of the ship's crew 3. Obstacles in the mooring process to the pier have two factors, namely from within and from outside 1. Internal preparation In the mooring process at the dock, it is something that cannot be ignored. Preparation and safety so that the ship and crew are safe and efficient are the main priority. 2. The most important equipment for the mooring process is ropes and good worker safety equipment. The rope equipment on a ship has its own function, especially to hold the ship so that it does not move away from the dock when docked. 3.
